Mariana's Food Experiences

Eat with all your senses...

Imagine a meal where the the protagonist is the color pink or a happening populated by the scent of lemons and profound connections. As the quintessential master of ceremonies, Mariana Velazquez puts together food, objects, sensorial references and people to bring experiences to life with her signature style.

From weddings to corporate events and even while arranging a quiet dinner party for two, Mariana's art direction and culinary trajectory are forces to be reckoned with as brings concepts from our imaginations to our surroundings.

CENA ROSA

CENA ROSA is an experience that bonds architecture and food. Inspired after reading this piece in the New Yorker about how the ashes of iconic Mexican architect Luis Barragan were turned into a diamond, Mariana created the dinner series. Barragan's obsession for exclusively pink colored meals inspired Mariana to tell his story through her own food design in cities across the world. Her vision was brought to life in collaboration with photographer, and a dear friend, Beth Glaton.
CENA ROSA MACAU - St Regis Hotel

After envisioning CENA ROSA in New York, Mariana brought the concept to life across the globe, at the St. Regis Hotel in Macau. A demo, a workshop, an atelier and a dinner were created in collaboration with the best chefs of southern China and one of the most prestigious hospitality brands in the world.
CENA ROSA SINGAPORE - Atelier at House of Madison

CENA ROSA embeds in the culture of the cities where it takes place. In this case Mariana workshoped the experience with her partners at House of Madison to tie in the Singaporean flavours for local architects and designers interested in the crossroads between a great building and an amazing meal.
CENA ROSA BOGOTÁ - Colombia

After CENA ROSA’s success in Hong Kong and Macau, Mariana took the concept back to her home country. This experience was done in collaboration with M Maison, an art space right in the middle of Bogota’s hip Chapinero district. Since architecture is at the heart of CENA ROSA, for this experience Mariana hosted Colombia's renowned architect Jacques Mosseri

HONG KONG/ Bullthaup B-Solitaire Launch
Mariana’s friends at Bulthaup launched their “b solitaire” in Hong Kong with sleek style and boldness in mind, so this collaboration only seems natural. That’s why she was chosen to be one of the four people representing this empowering brand alongside Erik Idos, Dom Chan and Annabelle Bond. Of course, Mariana’s take on this soiree was… tropical, to say the least.
NEW YORK/ La Hechicera Rum Launch Cocktail Bash
For the launch of La Hechicera in the U.S., this Colombian high-end rum brand chose not only Mariana as a partner but her home as the platform. The evening, designed and executed under her vision, turned out to be quite a lovely success.
NEW YORK/ Museo del Barrio Cocktail
New York’s most valued Latin American art institution is Museo del Barrio, and as part of its constant reinvention, one of its female centered programs partnered with Mariana’s creations. A dish inspired by a female artist and her creation. A pairing between art and food.
